Do you have extra items that might be of help to TLC? We are often seeking donations of goods to aid us in our work. Making an in-kind donation is a great way to reuse and recycle – saving special places in more ways than one! Tax-receipts can be available for the fair-market value of donated goods.
TLC does not have experts in-house to provide accurate valuations for in-kind donations and it is a requirement of Canada Revenue Agency that we have written valuations of donated items in order to issue tax receipts. Valuations need to be completed by a neutral third-party expert and all costs involved are the responsibility of the donor.
Currently seeking:
Donations of tools, primarily loppers and clippers, for restoration projects on TLC properties and covenants. Items will be considered on a case by case basis. If you have items to donate, please contact Torrey Archer, TLC’s Covenant Manager, at 250-479-8053.
Donated services:
Do you have a special skill or some extra time to give? Caring for B.C’s special places requires lots of hard-work and TLC can often use an extra hand. From carpentry to photography, tree-services, biological studies, and event management, TLC is grateful for the support of many talented individuals and local businesses. Postage Stamps:
Your used postage stamps could help raise funds for TLC! If you get large colourful stamps on your mail from Canada and overseas please save them for us. Just trim them off the envelopes and packages with a border of about 0.5 cm (0.25 inch) so as not to cut or damage the stamps and send them to TLC’s head office. TLC has a dedicated volunteer who then sells them on EBay!
Donate a Car:
Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for The Land Conservancy of British Columbia. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to TLC through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for TLC to benefit.
