TLC stewards more than 1,129.7 hectares (2,791.6 acres) where we hold title and manage operations, and 5,207.6 hectares (12,868.3 acres) where we protect through registered conservation covenants. In addition to ecosystem protection and land management, the organization facilitates educational opportunities to inform and connect the public with these spectacular natural areas.

In 2022, TLC was honoured to announce the receipt of a bequest of three adjacent properties in the Blenkinsop Valley and funds to maintain the properties in perpetuity from the estate of Joan Alston-Stewart (nee Lohbrunner). The bequest is the largest donation in the charity’s 25-year history.

TLC and the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council (WLC) have announced a landmark partnership agreement that will transfer title of SISȻENEM, a 9.67-acre island off the east coast of Sidney Island, from the charitable land trust to WLC as an act of reconciliation. The transfer will be historically significant as the first of its kind in Canada.
