Abkhazi Garden – March 2026 Newsletter

 In the March 2026 edition of the Abkhazi E-News, you will find out about our 80^th Anniversary Poetry Contest.  The winning and shortlisted poems are included in this newsletter.  Enjoy a video about the Abkhazi Garden that was created in 2003 and watch Geoff Bird’s latest video on the Story Pole that is nominated for an award.

The Abkhazi Garden Spring Plant Sale is coming up on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.  See the results of dividing one big clump of plants into many plants to sell at the plant sale.  If you have clumps of plants to donate, please let Jacqui know soon. If you have 1 gallon pots to donate, please bring them to the service area.  Square ones are preferred and please no flimsies.

The Vancouver Island Rock and Alpine Garden Society is having their Spring Show on Sunday, April 19, 9am-4pm at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. Admission is by donation.  You are also invited to the Kildonan Garden Open House on Saturday, May 2 from 1-4pm.  This historic house and garden are located at 931 Foul Bay Road.

The garden has many blooms right now.  Maybe you will come and visit this Easter weekend and  take in the beautiful spring blossoms with the promise of more to come.
