6.7 Hectares Located on Galiano Island, Covenanted in 2001
This covenant protects the majority of one of the island’s largest lakes. The property is located within the Coastal Douglas-fir biogoeclimatic zone which is an “ecosystem at risk” in BC. The forest has thick underbrush and extensive riparian areas. The lake contains alot of woody debris and supports a variety of plant and insect life. A wide variety of flora and fauna reside here, including the blue-listed Red-legged frog. TLC holds a conservation covenant on the property with the Galiano Conservancy Association.
