There are three seasonal creeks that run through the property protected by the covenant. One creek flows from the east and runs strongly during the spring run-off. The smallest creek flows from the west slope. The largest creek is shown on maps as Gardom Creek. Gardom Creek flows from the south to the north. There are three ponds located on the Land. The north pond is large enough for swimming, boating and trout rearing. One pond supplies the irrigation water for the garden. These ponds support a significant amount of wildlife. Approximately one acre of the property is landscaped with flower gardens, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens. One acre has been cleared and used for pasture, and the remaining 8 acres are mixed coniferous and deciduous interior forest. A wide variety of wildlife is found on the Land or is known to use the land, including small mammals, black bear, white-tailed deer, bobcat, coyote, skunks, and raccoon. Songbirds, ducks, geese, herons, osprey, eagles, red-tailed hawk, cooper’s hawk, saw-whet owls, great horned owls, grey owls, barred owls, and grouse are also common on the Land.
