12.3 hectares located in Chilliwack, covenanted in 2009
The Woodward property includes the western peak of Chilliwack Mountain and has spectacular views both north and south stretching out across the Fraser River Valley. The ecosystem protected is a relatively undisturbed second-growth forest in an area that is rapidly losing its natural areas due to urban expansion. Because of its varying topography, and the fact that it holds water so close to the top of a mountain, the property contains a wide range of wildlife habitat. There is a stand of Douglas firs in the southern square of the property, with trees up to ninety years old. There are approximately one hundred species each of bryophytes and mushrooms.
