Volunteer Covenant Monitoring Hike to DeMamiel Creek

Join TLC in Sooke for an exploration of DeMamiel Creek covenant area and ecological monitoring. We will only be travelling about 1.5 km along a dry river bed but checking out the botany, geology and ecology of salmon will take the day! 10- 4 pm. Some parts of the stream are still running, sturdy footwear or sturdy sandals (no flip-flops) is recommended. Be sure to pack water and a lunch. • Low to moderate difficulty due to some loose rock scrambling in the creek bed but no elevation gain.
