Lichenthusiasm – A Talk on Lichen.
Partnerships and Learning Local Lichens.
To add a bit of “hands-on” to the virtual environment, we invite you to collect a few lichens to bring with you to the talk. Just a few windfallen ones (no need to take any that are living happily on their tree or rock or fence) from your yard or neighbourhood. And if you are not sure if it is a lichen or not, please bring that along too. If you happen to have a magnifying glass or hand lens or another magnifier, that can be useful as well.
Optional: You may find it helpful to be able to view lichens-in-hand during the talk.
