Join TLC in restoring Ayum Creek Regional Park Reserve from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on February 27th, 2022.
During the event we will be hand-pulling invasive periwinkle from the forest understory to prepare the area for mulching in coming months. This will contribute to protecting forest and riparian ecosystems as part of TLC’s periwinkle eradication project that has been on-going since 2017.
Please come dressed for the weather, wear a sturdy pair of shoes, and bring a bottle of water. There will be garden gloves available, snacks and juice, as well as hand sanitizer and masks if needed. Please park along the south side of Sooke Road at the parking lot near bus stop 102109. We will be meeting at the parking lot at 9:45 am and walking to the restoration site.
