Thanks to the amazing work of our volunteer monitoring crew, TLC visited over 100 conservation covenants in the Greater Victoria region over July and August. TLC’s monitoring program is to ensure that covenants are being respected and to report any disturbances to the landowner. The covenants cover a wide variety of ecological habitats including wetlands, rivers, estuaries, hills and valleys, regional parkland and even encompasses privately owned residential areas. With the continued help of volunteers and other partner organizations, TLC is working to keep the properties in their natural state in perpetuity.
