Juliet is an avid naturalist\, acquiring and sharing knowledge about coastal B.C. life forms and their ecologies for over 15 years. \nLichenthusiasm – A Talk on Lichen.\nPartnerships and Learning Local Lichens. \nTo add a bit of “hands-on” to the virtual environment\, we invite you to collect a few lichens to bring with you to the talk. Just a few windfallen ones (no need to take any that are living happily on their tree or rock or fence) from your yard or neighbourhood. And if you are not sure if it is a lichen or not\, please bring that along too. If you happen to have a magnifying glass or hand lens or another magnifier\, that can be useful as well. \nOptional: You may find it helpful to be able to view lichens-in-hand during the talk. \nView TLC’s 2021 VIRTUAL Passport to Nature for a full listing of our nature events designed with you in mind – those who want to explore the wild outdoors\, learn new skills and meet like-minded people. This year the program has been adapted to a digital platform to accommodate safety precautions during the pandemic.
