The Todd Road Property is located on the eastern edge of Kamloops, south of the South Thompson River. The property is 2 hectares and was donated as an Ecological Gift by Kyla and Murray Weeres. The property falls within the BG xh2 biogeoclimatic zone, one of the most imperiled subzones in the province. Despite its small size, the property is a valuable piece of habitat because of its good condition due to infrequent cattle grazing and the connectivity it provides to adjacent proposed city parks and priority grassland areas. TLC’s Todd Road property is home to three species-at-risk: the badger, Lewis’ woodpecker and Columbia carpet moss. The property is adjacent to two parks owned by the City of Kamloops.
